The Summer of Sins festival bill featured some of hip hop’s most iconic independent rappers including Tech N9ne, Waka Flocka Flame, Blind Fury and next up The Council 2432.
The Ohio hip-hop map stretches well beyond the state’s biggest cities. At the 2026 Summer of Sins Music Festival, The Council 2432 incorporated their Weed Suit Hero and The Holistic Cloud brand into a weekend built around live music and culture. Festival attendees embraced The Council’s general Billy Blaize as he tossed Holistic Cloud merch and cash from the stage into the crowd of thousands of fans who came out to rock and celebrate culture.
For The Council 2432, that setting carried its own meaning. The Ohio-based collective has roots in Bellaire and the surrounding Ohio Valley, a region whose identity is often shaped as much by community as by geography and tradition. The group’s appearance placed that regional perspective alongside performers with audiences across the country and offered a chance to introduce new listeners to the sound and brand known as the Council 2432.
One of the highlight moments of the festival is when legendary rapper Blind Fury brought The Council’s Matthew Cooper out to collab which sent the festival crowd Into hysteria.
The festival’s bill brought together different currents in hip-hop. Tech N9ne and Waka Flocka Flame were among the high-profile names, with Chris Webby, Doobie, Twiztid, Merkules, Rittz, DJ Paul, Lil Wyte and Krizz Kaliko also listed among the featured performers. Together, the lineup connected independent rap, Southern influence and alternative hip-hop across the two-day event.
That range made Summer of Sins a fitting platform for The Council 2432. The group’s identity is rooted in the Ohio Valley, but its ambitions reach beyond it: Sharing a festival stage with iconic acts offered a visible reminder that hip-hop’s next chapter is also being written outside the usual industry centers.
Summer of Sins expanded beyond the performances, pairing live music with camping, vendors and tattoo artists at its new Circleville location. For The Council 2432, the weekend was an opportunity to carry the Ohio Valley torch into a broader festival conversation and to stand as representatives of Ohio’s indie culture.
The Council 2432 is rumored to be in the studio collaborating with a Grammy award winning producer on a new single for 2027.
